Other than for the sheer thrill of jumping out of an airplane, skydiving is all about the view you’re getting as you float down among the clouds. Here are 10 places to skydive with unforgettable views.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

You might not think of Dubai when you think about the best places to skydive, but it’s quickly becoming one of the top places to pull open your parachute. You can’t beat the views over the Palm Jumeirah (the city’s giant palm-shaped artificial archipelago) the whole of Dubai and of the Persian Gulf.

Fox Glacier, New Zealand

New Zealand is jam packed with scenic spots to jump, but Fox Glacier is something special. The 13 kilometer glacier in Tai Poutini National Park makes for awe-inspiring skydiving views.

Interlaken, Switzerland

Interlaken is consistently ranked among the most scenic places to skydive in Europe. You get views of the Swiss Alps and the natural beauty of the area, as well as Italy, France, Germany and Austria.

Mount Everest, Nepal

You can’t get much more scenic than skydiving over Mount Everest, where you’ll land on the highest drop zone in the world. This jump doesn’t come cheap, but it’s a once in a lifetime experience that comes with some serious bragging rights.

Namib Desert, Namibia

Desert skydiving is a totally unique experience and one that many skydivers rank among their best jumps. Skydiving over the Namib Desert offers views out over the vast expanse of sand and rolling sand dunes below.

Wollongong, Sydney

Sydney is known for its beautiful beaches, so it should be no surprise that skydiving over the sand and water would offer amazing views. Wollongong, especially, is known as a scenic spot to jump, where you can catch gorgeous coastal views before landing on the beach.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Skydive over one of the most scenic cities in Brazil (and in the world) and see if you can pick out some of its landmarks – like the Christ the Redeemer Statue or Sugarloaf Mountain – from the air.

Denarau Island, Fiji

Fiji is on many bucket lists for its exotic beauty, and skydivers feel the same way. A jump over Fiji’s Denarau Island will give you views over eye-popping turquoise water and lush emerald greenery.

Cape Town

South Africa, and especially Cape Town, are known for their beauty and natural attractions like Table Mountain, Robben Island and  Langebaan lagoon, making it one of the most scenic places to skydive.

Ephesus, Turkey

While mountains and deserts make for some jaw-dropping skydiving scenery, so does the ancient city of Ephesus. Here, you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time and get a feel for what life might have been like in Roman times. The classical city makes for a spectacular view to enjoy from the air.
