The South Coast of Britain’s Isle of Wight is a surprising home for one of the world’s top collections of exotic, rare and subtropical plants. Here, the Ventnor Botanic Garden replicates Mediterranean zones from around the world, and regions like South Africa, New Zealand and Australia are all well represented. And while it’s one thing to grow these plants in a greenhouse where every variable can be adjusted, the exotic plants of Ventnor Botanic Garden thrive naturally outdoors.
